April 5, 2006 (Cincinnati, OH)- Cincinnati leather sculptor, Andrea Becker, will be exhibiting her new series of artwork titled Faces of Nature at the Easton Art Affair in Columbus, OH on June 23-25, 2006. Andrea describes the Faces of Nature series as “ a collection of artwork inspired by the natural elements found during my hikes through the Ohio wilderness. Trees, leaves, and twigs first inspired me to find a way to incorporate their beauty into my work. These elements took on their own voice, speaking to the natural beauty that surrounds them. From this voice emerged a face.” The faces seen in the art are made of leather that has been sculpted when wet. The leather has a unique ability to retain its shape once dry. By combining the leather faces with elements of nature, the resulting art seems to speak to the viewer and evoke a multitude of feelings. These leather sculptures can be seen at the upcoming Easton Art Affair at the Easton Town Center Columbus, OH. Show Dates: June 23-25, 2006 (Fri-Sun), Show Hours: Friday - 5pm – 10pm, Saturday - 12pm – 10pm, Sunday - 12pm – 5pm.
